Database Manager
Own relational, NoSQL and search data reliability across reporting, platform operations and operator systems.
About the role
We are hiring a Senior Database Manager to own the health, structure and performance of data systems across NextGamings. This includes schema management, query optimization, backups, reporting data flows, reconciliation support and operational data quality.
The role is central to trust: operators need reliable numbers, support teams need accurate histories and finance teams need confidence in every transaction trail across SQL, MongoDB and Elasticsearch systems.
What we are looking for
- At least 5 years of production database administration, data engineering or database reliability experience.
- Strong MySQL or MariaDB experience, including indexing, query optimization, backups, migrations and replication concepts.
- Strong hands-on experience with NoSQL and search platforms such as MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
- Understanding of reporting, reconciliation, audit trails, data retention and data integrity requirements.
- Careful, methodical approach to migrations, access control, monitoring and operational risk.
